Heart & Breath Sounds Simulator
Heart & Breath Sounds Simulator
This hand-held device simulates both heart and breath sounds and allows the determination of these by plugging in one of 7 different menus (see W49401, W49402, W49403, W49404, W49405, W49406 and W49436), each containing 16 different sounds*. The Heart and Breath Sounds Simulator unit includes two external sounders with which students can auscultate the sounds with a stethoscope. Linking additional stethoscope sounders (see W49430), up to 15 students can auscultate at the same time. A Loud Speaker may also be connected. Additionally, the unit has a volume control and two LED’s that illuminate during systole (heart menu) and expiration (breath menu).
Virtually maintenance-free, the unit is powered by a 9 volt battery.
* All data used in the menus are actual patient sounds. Sounds of the same name are from different patients in different menus to show appearance variations.
